Hi, my name is Nicky and I am the owner of The Green Fig Deli. I currently reside in the new vibrant community of the Krijgsman in Muiden. Originally hailing from South Africa, I've called the Netherlands home for over 25 years. While my career in Supply Chain and Client Management has kept me busy for the past two decades, my true passion has always revolved around food... especially baking.
Coming from a family of foodies … and feeders, I've inherited a love for all things culinary. It all began when I enrolled in my first cake decorating course just before my daughter's first birthday (she's now 11). Inspired by the special memories my mom created on my birthdays, I was determined to do the same for my loved ones. From there, my journey into the world of baking took flight.
I honed my skills with a series of pastry courses at the Bakery Institute in Zaandam, solidifying my passion for this art form. And now, I'm excited to take the leap and share my love for baking with you... From my kitchen to yours.
